Content Strategy

Content strategy is a high-level plan that directs the purposeful development and upkeep of content in a digital product. Content Strategy plays a vital role in my design process. Often we are focused solely on aesthetics or usability, but its our content that truly guides our user experience. We are preoccupied with content tactics - rather than addressing the overarching meaning of our work. These are the day to day operations of running a site, Content Strategy is the overarching purpose and meaning behind all of this.

Ux Research

Gathering Insight into user behaviors, limitations and desires via advanced feedback methodologies allows for our end products to address real world issues. Often the iterative phase of testing and repeating, is where great products are born. I relish the opportunity to get real feedback from real users. User experience (UX) research is vital to not only design — it is essential to allowing companies to optimize their day to day operations.

Motion Graphics

Motion graphics is a powerful tool for building brands, as it allows businesses to effectively communicate their brand values and messages through visually appealing and engaging content. Motion in many ways adds true meaning to our experiences . By using motion graphics, businesses can effectively convey their brand personality and establish a strong visual identity.

Cross Team Communication is Key

The Product Design Process’ Four Big Risks

Often teams are working in silos, which can be deadly to new businesses and products. By promoting constant feedback a cross teams we can mitigate our exposure to the four risks inherent in the design process, allowing us to both better ideate and get to market faster. As a designer often we are thinking of adding lavish affordances that are impossible to code and hold little value. By promoting continuous feedback between teams of varying focuses, we can thrive in the ever changing environment of today’s world.

Outcomes Over Outputs

My Process

My process is continuously evolving.
I relish the iterative process of design.

Empathize

I adopt a variety of methods to identify problems and uncover design opportunities. In the early stages, user research is key to understanding the issue at hand.

Define

Quantitative research allows for us to understand with clarity what is going on. By conducting thorough analysis, development teams can ensure that their designs are effective, intuitive, and meet the needs of the intended users. This can help increase user satisfaction and loyalty, and lead to the success of the product or service.

Design

In the design phase we are synthesizing our knowledge of user needs and wants. Aesthetics play an essential role my design, but ultimately design is functional. I aim to create designs that are human centered experiences.

Validation / Testing

This is where our ideas meet reality and realize the stunning disparity between our ideas and their actuality. Almost instantly while watching other interact with our products, we gain paramount information from a new perspective. Testing and validating a product is the most important stage and highlights the non linear aspects of the design phase.
