Creating Ranking for New York's cycling purists

Cycling Ranks aims to breathe new life into New York City’s cycling community, by bringing the spotlight back to the city's vibrant cyclist enthusiasts opposed to the national level which has always taken precedence- often local athletes and their communities are overlooked. Talking with New York cycling pros & amateurs, I discovered a die hard community of people that were committed to the sport for cycling's sake – true purists.

 Throughout the year cycling competitions are held in 5 key locations in the city, which we coined The Battlegrounds, where cyclists of varying levels compete in different categories for gold. The project presented a unique challenge as we had encountered many issues with data collection, luckily through automation and a bit of luck we stumbled upon a unique system, which allowed me to give access to collaborators without having them to learn how to code. Our team needed to use a standard spreadsheet, which was linked directly with webflow’s cms via an api and by doing so we were able to capture New York's competitive cycling community with ease.
